8 String "Brahms" or “Cello” Guitar

I have made several “Brahms”,  or cello guitar, an eight string classical guitar popularized by Paul Galbraith, for a young musician/guitarist, Kyle Throw, who is based in Denver, Colorado.

He wanted a guitar with a greater range of notes to allow him to compose the music that he wants and to arrange theme music for gaming videos.

The guitar in these videos has an old growth Western Red Cedar top, Black Cherry back and sides, Black Walnut neck, Katalox fret board with 21 frets and has an East Indian Rosewood bridge. It is fitted with Gilbert tuning machines and the frets are extra wide and tall.

String length is 650mm, bass string and 620mm, treble string.

Here are videos of Kyle his Brahms guitar and arrangements.
